Dirt Plastering Villa

Amstelveen

Dirt plastering is an ancient method of plastering the interior walls and ceilings of houses. In many places around the world, people would simply go into the garden behind their house, dig up dirt from deeper layers of soil and process it into usable plaster. Unfortunately, it has become very difficult for city dwellers to obtain this material.

Dirt Plastering in this beautiful villa in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Moroccan film maker and artist Abdelhak Akaaboun has been able to realise his dream of oriental interior design. Every object has become a piece of art. Everything is just right: the choice of colours, the ornaments, the smooth and matt surfaces. With dirt plastering, the owner of the house was able to fully realise his vision.

Health benefits of Dirt Plastering

At Tierrafino, we believe that true beauty is inseparable from health. Our commitment to using 100% natural ingredients means that our dirt plasterering and paints not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of your spaces but also contribute significantly to a healthier indoor environment.

  • Our clay-based products are free from harmful chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), reducing the presence of toxins in your home or workplace.

  • Clay naturally regulates humidity by absorbing and releasing moisture, helping to maintain optimal indoor humidity levels. This reduces the likelihood of mold growth and creates a more comfortable living environment.

  • The antistatic nature of clay surfaces reduces dust accumulation, making it an excellent choice for people with allergies or respiratory sensitivities.

  • The density of our natural plasters absorbs sound, reducing echo and noise pollution within your space.
