Clay stucco is applied very thinly, so the substrate should be of the desired texture. Whether you prefer wavy or flat walls, the substrate is responsible for this. Applying a layer 1 mm thick is sufficient to achieve a good-looking surface. If two or more thin layers are applied one after the other, it is possible to achieve a matt sheen by smoothing the surface thoroughly.
