Colours play an important role in our lives. They determine our atmosphere and influence our mood, they stimulate our senses and they largely determine our taste, influence whether we like something or not. The way a room is coloured has deep impact on how its users feel.

Discover the secret of – and the rich variety of Tierrafino clay colours

In many ancient cultures the houses and especially the temples were decorated with the most beautiful colours. Colours were unique, sometimes very rare, and time was spared to transport pigments on donkey or camel over thousands of kilometers. Stately buildings often show a beautiful colour shade.
In recent years, the demand for white in particular has been high and is still trending. The appearance of professionalism, purity, tidiness, peaceful and well-organized dominates the zeitgeist. Looking at the rich colour overview below, it is curious in itself that the colour white, which is not actually a colour, so dominates our outdoors and indoors.

Let yourself go with Tierrafino Clay – and our Tadelakt colours!

Whether you want to give shape to your personal emotional atmosphere in your living or working space with colour or, alternatively, you would want to influence ‘positively’ by means of colour. Want to let the colours flow in from the environment and let them flow into your living or work space? O do you want some contrast and keep out what is outside.

The possibilities are endless in the interplay of clay colours and pigments

Tierrafino basically distinguishes between earth tones and pigments. For clay colours we mix earth tones with coloured clay and coloured sand. With pigments, only a small percentage is added to coloured plasters or paints.

If your taste of colour falls outside our standard colour palette, or if you have a RAL code or NCS code, we will try and match the colour you have selected.

This page is regularly updated. When new colour samples are created, they will appear on this page. If you are interested in the many variations of our clay colours, it is useful to visit this page regularly.

Our Technical Friday Mornings (TFMs) are especially for professionals. In abt. 1.5 hours we explain about clay construction in general and technical applications of our clay products. There are no costs associated with our TFMs.
